I think feeling beautiful with a unique hairstyle or maybe a new outfit is very important to young women, especially our age. Putting effort into our appearance and presenting ourselves as worthy and modest daughters of God is worthwhile. However, it is even more significant that we recognize our inner beauty and put that first, always. In seminary this year we read about how the Lord sees us. 1 Samuel 16:7 says, “But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” We are truly divine and Heavenly Father sees that in us. It is our duty to see that in ourselves and others. One of my favorite quotes is “If the world was blind, how many people would you impress?” Think about that. Do you put as much time into loving yourself and others as you do into getting ready in the morning? Don’t get me wrong, it is good to take care of yourself, but never lose sight of what matters the most. Heavenly Father wants women who are beautiful and virtuous because they have a knowledge of who they are and where they are going. Women who can show others of their purpose and lift them up. I know this is true and I’m grateful for my opportunity to share this with you!
Add some elegance to your curls with a basic tieback style, including twists or braids. Such an easy way to give your hair more detail.
