Did you know that protein is found in every cell in our body? Did you know that you need to eat food rich in protein to keep your metabolism running, to keep your hormones leveled, to build muscle, to aide digestion, and to give you energy? If you didn’t know, now you know! Protein is a huge part of our makeup and should be a huge part in our diet too!

For an average, healthy woman, I would recommend getting 60 grams of protein a day, AT LEAST! I want to help you do this by sharing my favorite protein-packed snacks!

1. Jerky

If you would have told me to eat jerky as a healthy snack, a couple years ago, I would have said, “YUCK!” But now that I’ve seen the “jerky light”, I love it! Packed with 7-10 grams of protein in each serving, it helps you feel full and energized. They also come in so many yummy flavors!

2.Greek Yogurt With Fruit

This one is my favorite. Find yourself a great tasting Greek yogurt, (I love Fage) and then have fun adding whatever combination of fruits you like. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries are some of the best combos.

3. Almonds

I’m nuts about almonds! Almonds are packed with the healthy fats and proteins our bodies crave. You will find that your mind is clearer and you are happier when you eat things like almonds with all those good nutrients. These also have lots of different flavors now! Salted Carmel, Honey, Wasabi and so many others. It’s hard not to eat the whole delicious can.
