What if you talked to your friend like you talk to yourself?

Matthew 22:36-39

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

How can you love your neighbor as yourself if you say bad things to yourself?  Negative self-talk can make you feel bad physically, as well as make you become clinically depressed.

So why do we do it?  Where is the upside for talking badly about yourself?  Well, there is NO upside.  Let’s take Elder Uchtdorf’s advice and STOP IT!

Now how do you think you would feel if you said the things below on a regular basis?  Try it and see!
