I think back on a lot of relationships in my life and have pondered the basis of many of them. I have current friendships that have lasted all the way from second grade. That makes me have thirty plus years of good, solid friends. Friendships and relationships take effort, work, sacrifice, love, learning, growing, and selflessness.

As I think about many of these relationships, I think about my relationship with Christ and with my Heavenly Father and how I have chosen to grow that relationship over the last few years of my life. And I do believe that when I started working on my relationship with my Heavenly Father and the Savior, my other important relationships began to grow and mature and become even stronger.

Don’t get me wrong, not every relationship in life is healthy or needs to continue; I have had to let some relationships go for numerous reasons. But I believe that by working on your relationship with Christ and Heavenly Father and making it more solid, it will create true friendships and meaningful relationships in your life. So if you haven’t already built your relationship with Christ, I recommend you start now. Learning more about the true love of Christ will help you more developed lasting friendships.
