This is an easy and fun way to make your dreams come true.
A dream board is a way of setting goals with pictures. I love my dream board that I made five years ago. I looked at it everyday so I could remember my goals. You can also take a picture of it and carry it with you, or put it on your computer or phone as a screen saver. The more you look at it, the faster you will be able to accomplish your goals. It’s like magic!
I made my dream board on a foam core board, found pictures in magazines (like the Ensign and New Era) and on the internet, cut them out, arranged them, and glued them down. Looking through pictures helps you discover what you want for yourself and your life. It has had an amazing impact on me.
“Our soul speaks to us in images. Our heads speak to us in thoughts… It’s hard to ignore when it’s staring you right in the face. It’s as if you’re literally creating your life as a work of art.”— Cheryl Richardson
Do you see the missionary name tag (left of center)?
I looked at that everyday for five years and now I’m finally on my mission!
Seeing my old YW President while serving in the Oakland California Visitor’s Center.
The bottom left corner says “daily scripture goal.” Reading the scriptures everyday allowed me to read the Book of Mormon many times before going on a mission. I have been able to accomplish so many things from my board, that when I get home from my mission, I will be ready to make a new one. I can’t wait!
Rachel is currently serving a mission in Oakland California. She will return home Aug. 24, 2016.
