As I walked into my house this morning after traveling through the night with my family on our recent trip to Hawaii I felt a rush of emotions. The memories from the past 9 days flashed through my mind and I realized that they were just that. Memories.
I was reminded of how important it is to live in the present, to make the most out of each moment. That life isn’t only about arriving somewhere in the end, it is very much about how we endured it. When I was in high school and college I secretly wished the end of the world would come so I wouldn’t have to turn in some big project! Extreme, I know. I laugh about it now because at the time I thought it was the most difficult thing in my life. Now I understand that each little moment in my life prepared me for the next.
President Thomas S. Monson said, “Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family.” Each day is a gift so lets make the most of today. Learn from the hard times and cherish the beautiful moments in life.
