As back-to-school season kicks off, what’s on your list? While you definitely need the essentials to get your homework done, I’m sure there are other things on your mind like “WHAT WILL I WEAR?” Don’t worry. I’ve rounded up some of the top 2018 “Back-to-School” trends to make sure you’re getting A’s on street-style.
Rhea’s Tip: The best part about styling an outfit is finding something that rings true to you. Just because something is “cool” doesn’t mean you have to wear it. Stick to your own tastes, and the rest will come naturally. Who knows, maybe you’ll start a new trend!
We are all about the details on our denim this year. I remember owning a pair of embroidered denim when I was 3 feet tall. I guess all trends come back again! Too bad I can’t fit into those jeans anymore, but the trend is just about the same. Budget Tip: Get some embroidered patches at a craft store and iron/sew them onto a pair of old jeans. You can get the same look at a fraction of the price.
No, not neon lights. Neon…everything else! Brighten up the classroom with a touch or splash of neon. Warning: It becomes really hard to sneak into class; if you’re late, everyone will see.
This trend never seems to go away, and here’s why: women love animals! Also, the brown/black combo is perfect for the fall. You can easily dress animal print up or down. If you still have those animal print flats from last year, then put them on!
If you’re in the market for a new pair of casual sneakers, go metallic. Gold and rose gold are the colors of the season. If silver is your thing, you can still rock it.
It might look a little scrappy, but that’s the point. It’s a casual option that you can dress up or down like regular denim. Bonus: It pairs perfectly with collegiate tees and sweatshirts, making your ready for the next home game.
Yup. You cannot forget this one. We are going to the moon, and one of your classmates might be on that rocket. This is probably one of my favorite trends on the shelves, and you can get a NASA tees everywhere. Think Urban Outfitters, H&M, and even Target. Bonus: If science isn’t your strength, a NASA tee will compensate for at least some extra credit points (but no promises).
